Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address via Google Sign-In. We also store the profile information you choose to provide, such as your username, display name, bio, and profile photo. When you use shelfii we store the collections and items you create, including any photos you upload. We also store emoji reactions you leave on public collections. If you submit a content report, we store the reported URL and the reason you provided.

How we use it

We use your data solely to provide shelfii. Your email is used to identify your account. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use the following third-party services to run shelfii:

• Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Google (sign-in)
• Apple App Store and Google Play Store (mobile app distribution)

Each of these has their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with anyone else.

Collection visibility

Collections are private by default and only visible to you. You can choose to make a collection public at any time from the edit page. Public collections are visible to anyone, including people without a shelfii account, and appear in Explore. Anyone with the link to a public collection can view it without signing in. If you make a collection public, do not include personal information in names, item descriptions, or notes that you would not want to be publicly visible.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all of your data including collections, items, and uploaded photos is permanently deleted. Content reports are retained for moderation purposes and deleted periodically.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. For any other requests, contact us at the address below.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
